Peruvian Opal Sterling Silver Pendant

A striking one of a kind Peruvian Opal pendant, handmade in sterling silver and part of my limited Patterns on Water Collection.

This beautiful teardrop shaped Peruvian Opal measures approximately 28 x 18 mm and is an impressive 8 mm deep. Its wonderful mixture of vivid turquoise, blue and touches of sea green immediately brings to mind the ever changing colours of the sea.

The stone is surrounded by a sterling silver border, individually textured by hand with fine radiating lines. These lines frame the opal and draw the eye towards its beautiful natural colours and markings.

The reverse has its own hidden detail. The solid sterling silver back has been textured with the irregular, almost crazy patterns created on the surface of water when light shines across it.

It is a detail you may not see while wearing the pendant, but one that makes the piece special from every angle.
