Round Peruvian Opal Sterling Silver Pendant

A wonderfully vibrant one of a kind Peruvian Opal pendant, handmade in sterling silver.

This round Peruvian Opal measures approximately 18 mm in diameter and has the most beautiful intense turquoise blue colouring. Look more closely and you can see lighter blues, tiny natural markings and variations running through the stone, giving it real depth and individuality.

It is easy to see why I couldn't resist these stones. The colours immediately make me think of clear blue water and sunlight on the sea.

The opal is surrounded by a sterling silver border, individually textured by hand with fine radiating lines. The texture frames the stone without competing with its extraordinary natural colour.

The reverse is just as considered. The solid sterling silver back has been textured with the irregular patterns inspired by the shapes created on the surface of water when light shines across it.
